Tolka Area Partnership Skills Bank

Established in 2009 the Tolka Area Partnership Skills Bank aims to provide community groups and not for profit organisations within the TAP area access to a panel of skilled volunteers and professionals. This panel of volunteers will provide support to groups to help build and strengthen their capacity through the sharing of their knowledge, expertise and contacts.

Skills Bank Volunteer Profile

Michelle Geoghegan is a graphic designer living in Drumcondra with exceptional artistic talent not only in graphic design but photography and fine art.

Michelle registered with the Skills Bank following an advertisement on Activelink in 2009.  She is responsible for designing our Skills Bank booklet and poster and has just completed a publication for the Finglas Traveller Development Group. Michelle has found the Skills Bank great for keeping on top of her skills, developing her experience and keeping her busy since being out of work and it also makes her feel as if she is doing something worthwhile for the community.  'Most importantly, my confidence has increased and I feel more capable and knowledgeable going into the jobs market' says Michelle.

We would like to recommend Michelle and her work for paid employment as well so please keep her in mind for future graphic design jobs that you may have.  The Skills Bank is ideal for people who are in between jobs and who would like to volunteer for short term projects.
