Enterprise Development Training

The Enterprise Section of the Tolka Area Partnership runs various business courses and workshops throughout the year at our head office in Finglas. The aim of these courses and workshops is to improve the  business skills of both individuals who are considering self employment for the first time, and also individuals who are already in self employment in small to medium size businesses within our catchment area.

The following is a list of the upcoming business courses and workshops which will be run by the Enterprise Section:

Start Your Own Business Course

A number of Start Your Own Business Courses are run throughout the year. Our Start Your Own Business course is subsidised and client are asked to contribute a nominal fee of €50.

Sales Training Work Shop

This workshopis directed at anyone who is involved in selling for their business. It offers an insight into selling in the current economic climate. The next Sales Training Workshop will take place in on Thursday the 18th of Octboer 2012 from 9am to 2pm.  The cost for participating in this workshop is €10 and each participant is given a free marketing DVD.

Get Focused and Achieve Results in Your Business
-Motivation & Time Management workshop

The aim of this half day workshop is to provide participants with key insights into motivation and time management so they can be highly focused and driven to achieve the results they want within their business. Each participant will raise their awareness about where they are now, where they want to get to, identify the gap and leave with an action plan to implement in their business to optimise their time and results.

The workshop content includes:

Book Keeping and Taxation for the SME 

This half day workshop is aimed at the small to medium size enterprises who are in their first to second year in business and who wish to have a clearer understanding of the Irish Taxaton system for the self emloyed. It will be given by a fully trained tax consultant and the fee for attendance is €10. The following areas will be examined:

1. Drafting a Income and Expense Account
2. Drafting Capital Allowances Computation
3. Listing of all Items needed for Tax Return Form
4. Preparation of the Tax Return Form
5. Calculating Tax Liability Based on Return Form
6. Calculating of the Preliminary Tax Liability

Mompreneurs

This workshop is designed to help moms achieve their dreams as mothers and entrepreneurs. So many people have an idea for a business, but don’t know how to make it a reality. How often have you seen a business or product and thought, I had that idea? Many of products for mother, baby and young children were inspired by real life mom experiences. In this one day workshop we will help you to deal with the issues and learn that skills to bring your dream to market. This course is open to all moms (new moms, empty nest moms, moms t be – all are welcome. Moms with an idea or a desire to find a career to fit their lives as mothers and entrepreneurs. The one day workshop will take place at the Tolka Area Partnership Finglas office at Rosehill house from 9am to 5pm on Thursday the 6th of October 2012. The fee for participation is €10.

This one day workshop is open to SME's either with no online presence or with a static brochure site that wish to establish an online presence for their product and / or service. This workshop will take place on Thursday the 25th of October 2012 from 9am to 5pm at our Finglas Office, Rosehill house.
