Ageing with Confidence

The aim of Ageing with Confidence is to increase self confidence by facilitating participants to explore their own ageing, challenging the myths and stereotyping that lead to ageism and providing information on physical, psychological and social aspects of growing older.
 
The Programme consists of 8 weekly two-and-a-half hour sessions.

  • Psychological Aspects of Normal Ageing
  • Self-Knowledge and Stresses in Later Life
  • The Emotional Self
  • Improving Self-Confidence
  • Isolation, Loneliness and Sexuality in Later Life
  • Who do you think you are?

Learn computer skills by looking up your ancestors through the censuses and tracing your Family Tree
 

  1. Wellness and You

The course will offer a taste of 8 different types of activities that will
have a positive effect on health, both mental and physical - mindfulness, drumming, herbal medicine, nutrition, storytelling,  folklore, Tai Chi, laughter yoga , Tai Chi.
 

  1. Shape-up and Dance

Dance your way to a slimmer and fitter you this New Year. This class offers an energetic mix of aerobic workout, salsa, line dancing, musical theatre and great party tunes. Step into shape and enjoy the FUN.
