Local Employment Service Network (LESN)
The LESN offers a wide range of services to help individuals seeking paid employment to progress towards their chosen goal. The LESN offers advice, guidance and information on available education, training and employment options to people living in the TAP catchment area.
Our offices are located in Rosehill House (at the bottom of Finglas village) and the other at 27-28 Annamoe Terrace Cabra (between the North Circular road and the New Cabra road).
Guidance and Mediation
The Tolka Area Partnership Guidance and Mediation service is available to people who register with us by appointment. The service provides a confidential setting where a guidance worker will work with you to develop a career path and support you through its implementation. We operate from a client centered ethos that is mindful of the diverse and individual needs of each client. Through a series of one to one meetings the guidance worker will discuss your options, identify your strengths and weaknesses, help you decide what your goals are and then see what steps need to be taken to secure these goals Outcomes from the guidance process may include referral to

Jobs Club
The Jobs Club is accessed through the Guidance and Mediation Service and provides help, support and encouragement to people of all ages who are seeking employment. We have the resources to maximiseyour chances of getting work.
The Tolka Area Jobs Club can help you:
- Produce a professional CV
- Compose a cover letter specific to the job you are interested in
- Prepare and practice for an interview
- Support with completing application forms
- Contact employers
- Gain access to phone, fax, photocopying, e-mail internet and postal services
Training
Whether you require an add on course to make your skills more marketable or wish to embark on a whole new career we can help you identify and secure the course most suitable to your needs
Education
The LESN can help adults returning to education access a wide range of courses from Basic Adult Education (help with reading and writing) right through to Third Level degree courses. We can also provide information and support in relation to finance for education. We also run some special programmes through the Partnership in conjunction with other agencies.
Literacy Support
The literacy worker helps anyone who wants to improve their reading, writing, spelling and computer skills. This service is:

Careers Information
We maintain an up to date careers information library to assist you back into training, education or employment. Careers information includes:
- Careers and course information
- Career matching
- External and internal information sessions
- Public computer access support
Internet Access
Internet access is available in both our offices for:
- Typing skills
- Driver Theory Test
- Career direction
- Job searching
Counselling
A qualified counsellor is available within the service one day a week. Clients are referred through mediators for short term counselling (10 sessions) It is free and confidential
