Early Childhood Development
Early Childhood Development
The Tolka Area Partnership Early Childhood Development Co-ordinator in conjunction with the Childhood Network (formally the Childhood Committee) works to develop the strategic direction of early childhood development in the area and oversees the implementation of the early childhood care and education element of the Partnership’s plan. The Network has membership from relevant local providers and agencies. The Network meets on a monthly basis. Through the Network the Tolka Area Partnership is committed to working with parents, guardians, relevant agencies and groups to foster and promote the wellbeing of children in our community.

Early Literacy
This year we aim to introduce a pilot Parent Home Child Programme with approx 10 families in Finglas South. This programme supports parents with young children. Local people are trained as home visitors who bring toys and books to the home and get feedback from parents on the how it worked. Home visitor volunteers will receive appropiate training. Please contact Breda Kenny at 01 8683806 for more information.
