Community Leadership Training and Development

In supporting the development of community leaders we facilitate a number of training workshops aimed at building the skills, knowledge and confidence of people interested in taking on a leadership role. The workshops are delivered in collaboration with a number of local organisations and agencies including Project West CDP, Finglas South CDP, the Health Service Executive Community Section and Dublin City Council Community Section.

Developed in collaboration with Ballymun, Blanchardstown and Northside Partnerships the  workshops have been put together to help community leaders develop their understanding of community and a broad range of practical skills to help them in their role.

These workshops include:

How we are Governed
My Role in my Community: Needs Rights and Responsibilities

Getting to Know my Community/ Mapping my Community
Introduction to Asset Based Community Development
Committee Skills and Group Development
Communications and Negotiation skills

Each workshop is designed to stand alone and can be tailored to suit the needs of individual groups or taken together as an overall Community Leadership training programme. Individual workshops take from four to eight hours and can be spread over a number of sessions.
